Measurements are based on the largest dimension whether vertical or horizontal, whichever is greater. 

½” - best for shaker bits or small stud earrings

⅝” - best for stud earrings

¾” - best for large stud earrings or cabochons

¾” drilled - best for charms, pendants or small dangle earrings
